GBL Systems Corporation Chosen to Co-Develop NIST Funded Business-to-Business (B2B) Network Technology

The U.S. Commerce Department’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), has recently awarded $2.5 million in grants to ten Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) centers. These centers will distribute the funding across multiple organizations in the U.S., so they may pilot an online regional business-to-business network project. Through this award, the California Business-to-Business Network (CB2BN) will unite CMTC and core partners Manex, GBL Systems Corporation, and Industrial Interface, Inc. in an e-commerce partnership designed specifically to match domestic and international business opportunities and technologies with small- and medium-size manufacturers in California.

Due to the scalability of these pilot programs, it will later be determined if they will be transformed into a national network or a series of regional ones. Leveraging technologies available at federal laboratories and universities, the framework of this technology is being developed enhance collaboration between the private and public sectors through the nationwide network of MEP centers
